found milk crate man today in Richmond. While i was snapping away, a local approached me and asked about it. i told him about urban installation and he gave me a bit of milk crate man's history. It used to be on a building much closer to the train line (i never noticed it!) it had recently been relocated to it's current location and he had helped the new owners rope it into position -possibly the building owners of it's previous home had cut it down as they had found it lying in the gutter. it had also been featured in in the herald sun about six months ago. (missed that too!)
So my understanding is that it has found it's new home on quite recently, but will probably be relocated again (perhaps to a more private space).
it has been constructed with cable ties, and the artists are unknown (for now).
happily it is now being loved and housed!
my apologies to everyone for not keeping this site up to date, i am just checking on a few credits before issue 2 is released.
